Performative Research

Performance, book presentation, public talk
October 11, 2016

The first in a series of events in the context of originalcopy combines two different research projects under the umbrella of the same arts-based methodology. On the one hand, we will present three books that stem from the large-scale investigation into the act of writing Possible Content for 18 Pages. The book presentation takes place in form of a re-staged performative reading. This re-enactment will mark the conclusion of the first project, but it is also the starting point and the launch of the second research titled originalcopy—Post-Digital Strategies of Appropriation. The two projects share the practice of performative research, a methodological framework that offers both an aesthetic experience and the simultaneous reflection of the same.
